InkvadersLite – submitted
September 25th, 2009 by malInlvaderLite was submitted to apple on the 21st Sept and we’re hoping it will be hitting the App Store around the 5th October!

So what is in the Lite version?
- Online score boards
- 7 Awards to unlock
- Facebook and twitter integration
- Challenge a friend to beat your score (via e-mail)
- iPod support for in game music
In terms of game play, you start at boot camp and move on to an extended level, which makes it a quick game to finish, but the inclusion of Lite specific awards and scoreboards will give it some longevity.

The competition is on for the highest score, with worldwide, location, friends and personal score boards supplied by AGON. Plus earn kudos by unlocking those more tricky awards, and post the news directly to your facebook or twitter account.
We’ve added a ‘challenge’ option to the front end which opens the e-mail client and posts your highest score, laying down the gauntlet to the recipient! It’s a nice way to spread the word, ensuring your friends are playing along too.
Hopefully, not long to wait… Come on Apple!
Inkvaders 1.2 approved…
September 24th, 2009 by Lee…and it didn’t take too long either; just 8 days by my reckoning which is a big improvement over the 15 days last time. As you know, the major new thing here is online leaderboards using AGON online and a whole raft of awards for doing certain things in the game.
I’m going to try and get a high-score widget on the website later on so go see if you can hit the top of one of the 6 leaderboards before I do. We’d love to hear what you think of the new version, the AGON system in general and our awards. We’d also love to get any recommendations for new award challenges for future versions.
Inkvaders desktops
September 21st, 2009 by malInkvaders 1.2 – new features.
September 21st, 2009 by malWe submitted version 1.2 a few days ago to apple. We hope this update will get through approval quicker than 1.1 as it has some rather exciting additions… You’ll soon be playing for fame and glory with online scoreboards!
Inkvaders 1.2 submitted
September 17th, 2009 by LeeIt took a bit longer than planned but version 1.2 of Inkvaders was submitted for approval last night. After looking at most of the available social networking systems, we decided on AGON online. Here is the list of features for the new version:

- Online Leaderboards
- Achievements
- Twitter and Facebook integration
- New scoring system and bonuses in level totups
- Many more smaller additions
Inkvaders 1.1 approved…
September 9th, 2009 by Lee…and it only took 15 days. As so many developers have mentioned it does make it very tricky to respond to issues people might have. Anyway, it’s out and 1.2 should be ready for submission tomorrow; hopefully that won’t take quite so long
Inkvaders 1.1 submitted to the AppStore
August 27th, 2009 by LeeGood news, we’ve submitted version 1.1 to Apple for approval. This new version adds the following:
* Flippable screen for more comfortable playing
* No more starting from the beginning if you die! You can now start from the last level played.
* Resume feature now stores progress for story and campaign separately
* More ammo per-purchase and better ammo display in shop
* and more…
We’re currently hard at work on 1.2 which will be largely abourt online leaderboards and achievements, and then 1.3 which will see boss battles, new enemies and maybe, just maybe, the ability to shoot while flying.
Creating ‘G’
August 25th, 2009 by malI was asked recently in a forum post over at Touch Arcade, how I generated the artwork for the game. I thought I’d show some concepts and final artwork of ‘G’ and talk a little about the tools used.
This concept image shows the original intention for the art direction. All line work on paper, the only colour was going to be the blood.

Inkvaders released on iTunes
August 21st, 2009 by mal
We’re very excited, Inkvaders is now available on iTunes via the App Store. It’s been a faster development time than we are used to, but the feeling of getting a product out to the community is still just as thrilling!
We had a number of very positive previews and we’re glad to say people are finding that the game lives up to expectations. Here’s one nice quote from the great reviews we’ve received so far on iTunes…
What an awesome game – the playability is really good. I’ve downloaded several games to my iPhone and am always left a little wanting, but this is a little gem.

Silly user name aside
we’re really pleased the game is being enjoyed as much as we thought it would be. We’re currently working on some cool updates, which we’ll reveal very soon!
